A Little Niggahs Life
Walking down the street
I stop to see a young child about to walk past me
So I grabbed him and asked where was his mom
He said, "What mom? That bitch been long gone"
As imagined, I was a little taken aback
To see a little 10 year old talk like that
But I realized it was his anger
So I said, "Come on little man. Have a talk with a stranger."
So we sat down and I was a little worried as he began his story:
When I was a baby I came out crying and all shaky
Then a white man in a white coat came to take me
They said, "This little baby can't go with her, she has an appetite to curve."
So I spent 5 years wondering what was wrong
Before I could figure it out, I was going home
They say, “Boy, your mama's better now
All them demons in her body done came out."
So I'm happy, you know, cuz she's my mommy
Now I'm thinking, "Is this bitch gonna clown me?"
For the next three years it was cool
She paid the rent, went to work, bought me new clothes for school
Then it went all downhill from there
Cuz that look in her eyes look like the demon done came back there
Her whole appearance changed
But that's what happens when you get caught up in the game
Anyway- she lost her job, then we lost our place when she caught a case
So we ended up on the streets, homeless with nothing to eat
I stopped going to school cuz I had no clothes
Saw my moms become a ho
Just happened to be walking to the store to get something to eat
And I saw this lady across the street
My mother it was but I didn't speak
Cuz she wasn't the one I knew
Hair crazy, dirty clothes and fucked up tennis shoes
Saw her go inside this house
It was all boarded up
Looked like no one lived there so I wanted to know what was up
So went in the house and couldn't believe what I saw
It was skinny bitches and niggahs
Lined up against the wall
All up and down the halls
My stomach couldn't take it- it smelled like death
So I ran outside and puked til I ain't have nothing left
Then I went back inside to find my moms
I was like, “What the fuck going on?"
She was on her knees sucking a dick
The image still makes me sick
But not like a man but of the glass kind
Never knew she got down like that
And it hurt me to my heart to know my mama smoke crack
The things I saw in that house that day
Are things that will haunt me til I'm gray
But I'm still here trying to find my way
Oh yeah, my mama had me when she was 16
Even back then she was a fiend
She killed my father over that dope
Shot'em in his chest cuz he said, "You gotta stop this shit bitch"
She said, “NOPE"
Now I'm without either parent cuz both are dead
My moms got killed while she was giving head
Not of the glass but yup the man kind
She was trying to cop a dime
But what she didn't know was dude was sick
He shot my moms, yup emptied his whole clip
Now I'm sittin' here in a foster home
Wondering about my future
Will I forever be alone?
Yup from the place where dreams ain't all good
I'm just another little nigga from the hood
